This page will help you get to know me and decide whether I’m the right person to help you with your financial planning. You’ll find out what it’s like working with me, what my clients say about me, what I love about my work and what I like to do in my spare time.
I began my career in financial planning over 22 years ago. Planning a long way ahead – ensuring all my clients are looked after in the best way possible, right down through the generations – has been my ethos from the very beginning.
I joined St. James's Place in 2009, by which time I’d gained my financial planning qualifications. (I’ve carried on studying for further qualifications ever since; the more I know, the more I can help you and your families.)
I keep in touch with all my clients regularly; they know I care deeply about them, their lives and their families.
A chat about your financial planning will always include me finding out about your dreams, likes and dislikes. After all, that’s why you plan for your own and your family’s futures – so you can dream big and achieve the best lifestyle you can.
Building long-term, trusting relationships –supporting whole families across all the generations – is both a joy and a privilege. I love being able to help everyone get to where they need to be, no matter what age or stage of life they’re at.
I help clients with a wide range of things – whatever they need. If I find there’s something I can’t advise you on, I’ll call on one of the experts from my extensive personal network to get you the best possible advice.
I live in Edinburgh, not far from Murrayfield, with my grown-up children, a black Labrador called Ivy, and the two cats, Leo and Ollie.
My partner and I both love being by the sea. I used to be a scuba-diving instructor (when I get involved in something I’m passionate about, I go to the highest level I can). Now I’m content with the occasional cold-water dip (wearing a wetsuit) and simply enjoying the beautiful East Fife coastline.
I’ve always loved keeping fit. I do gym training at home and enjoy walking. I have started playing golf again and I am loving it. We are grateful to be members of Crail golfing society and play regularly - even through the winter. We both enjoy watching rugby at Murrayfield, going to the theatre and visiting historic places.
